Buccaneers of the Blockchain (BotB) is a groundbreaking project that combines blockchain technology, NFTs, and charitable giving in a unique and innovative way. Our game features NFTs with appreciating value, battle card game-style gameplay, and a systematic charitable function that donates a significant percentage of all proceeds to Disabled American Veterans.

Through gamified charitable impact, BotB allows players to support Disabled American Veterans while also learning more about cryptocurrencies, NFTs, and blockchain technologies. We plan to invest in expanding and scaling our team and deploying new seasons to ensure anyone can participate in a structure that suits them. BotB aims to inspire a service mindset among its players and community members, highlighting the value of charitable giving and community involvement.

Gameplay

Our competitive NFT battle card game was designed to make participation in web3 gaming user-friendly and fun.

In BotB, "Cards" or “player game pieces”  are NFTs, and their value appreciates the more the game is played. Buccaneers in BotB have three categories of stats: physical, mental, and spiritual, and belong to one of three classes (human, cyborg, and robot), each starting out with the same stats for the 1st iteration. Battles are initiated by any player at any time. The game also features a defense mode that grants players an increased chance of winning if they are attacked.

Interactive elements and battle outcomes are determined by the game's programming and informed by player choices. All actions carry a small cost, and the game continuously distributes these amounts to its main three pools: DAV, the treasure chest (prize), and DAB (BotB's team).

Charity Game Economics

BotB donates a significant percentage of all proceeds to DAV, a national organization that has provided services for veterans and their families for over 100 years. Mint price for BotB is 0.1 ETH for public mint and 0.066 ETH for pre-mint/allowlist mint, with a total of 1944 Total PGPs to Mint. Breakdown includes 50% to DAB, 25% to DAV, and 25% to the BotB treasure chest (for the mint).

The ramifications for the support space for disabled American veterans are many, varied, and scalable. The BotB team plans to invest its percentage in expanding and scaling the team and deploying new seasons of varying complexity, scope, and scale to ensure anyone can participate in a structure that suits them.

On-Chain Assurance

Donations are carried out by the contract itself; impact is therefore safe from third-party manipulations.

The DAB team has effectively “written themselves out” of the code concerning value distribution. The “hands-off” pipeline is safe, heavily secured, programmatic, and unchanging (a function of the smart contract design).  Similarly, and as broken down above, an unchanging % will go directly to the “treasure chest”(the hefty prize awarded to winners), and the donations straight to the DAV.

With every action a player takes, from mint to in-game moves, there is a real increase in both the positive impact to  Disabled Vets, and the calculable value of participation.

BotB Team (DAB) plans to invest its % in expanding and scaling the team, deploying a vast array of new seasons,  designed to vary in complexity, scope and scale - to ensure anyone can participate in a structure and time frame that suits them.
